Vietnam looks to Denmark for help with agriculture

7 October the Vietnam-Denmark economic cooperation forum was held in Copenhagen. Vice Chairwoman of the National Assembly, Tong Thi Phong, was present at the event. She held a speech in which she stated that the Vietnamese economy has grown nearly 6 percent on average over the past 30 years. They are also improving social welfare and maintaining a stable political climate.

Tong Thi Phong pledged for the support in administrative procedures once the EU-Vietnam free trade agreement (EVFTA) initiates.

Denmark and Vietnam are celebrating 45 years of diplomatic ties

Since Vietnam is badly affected by climate change, Tong Thi Phong asked Denmark for help in regards to agricultural planning. She met with Danish Minister of Environment and Food, Esben Lunde Larsen, where she stated that Vietnam is ready to sign the FTA with EU and strengthen Danish-Vietnamese ties, a diplomatic relation that is celebrating it’s 45th anniversary.
