Sweden Matrade Kula Lumpur seminar

On March 16, the Embassy of Sweden in Kuala Lumpur, Business Sweden and MATRADE (Malaysia External Trade Development Corporation) organised a joint workshop/seminar in Kuala Lumpur on the theme ‘Exploring business opportunities in Sweden’. The audience consisted of eminent representatives from the Malaysian business community, from sectors such as ICT, health and food.

The objectives of the seminar were information sharing on business opportunities in Sweden and updating Malaysian companies on the rules and regulations in doing business with Sweden.

Ambassador Mr. Dag Juhlin-Dannfelt explained the advantages for Malaysian companies to export to Sweden. The Swedish Trade Commissioner Mr. Carl Malmqvist outlined investment and business opportunities in Sweden. The last speaker was Mr. Ajay Puri, from the Malaysian Company MetTube, who shared his experience about doing business in Europe and Sweden.

During workshop discussions, the audience asked many questions regarding how to start a business in Sweden.

Malaysia External Trade Development Corporation is the national trade promotion agency of Malaysia with the mission to develop and promote Malaysia’s export to the world.
