Minister delegation: Sweden and Vietnam signs three agreements


During the Swedish trade delegation to Vietnam on 5-6 October Swedish Minister of EU Affairs and Trade Ann Linde signed three Letters of Intent concerning Strategic Partnership Sweden-Vietnam. The minister signed the letters on behalf of the Swedish Ministry of Foreign Affairs with her Vietnamese counterparts and leaders from Vietnamese ministry of science and technology, ministry of education and training and ministry of health.

Recognising the unique, long-standing and historical relationship that exist between Sweden and Vietnam and the importance of science, research, education for the social and economic development of the two countries, the agreements forms the start of negotiation and brings the bilateral partnership and cooperation to a new level.


Minister Ann Linde also led one of the biggest ever trade delegations ever from Sweden visiting Vietnam, aimed at to deepening bilateral relations and promote export.. Together with delegates she had very good and fruitful bilateral meetings with People’s Committee of Hanoi, Ministry of Trade and Industry and Ministry of Transport. All Vietnamese agencies expressed interests in innovative and sustainable business solutions that Sweden has on offer.
