Danish Adventurer stranded in Indonesia after trouble with sponsor

Danish Adventurer Thor Jensen is attempting to go all the way around Papua New Guinea in a canoe.

“A humble appeal to the generous Sandaun Government who promised us funding so that we could continue ‘The Worlds First Circumnavigation of the Island of New Guinea in a Traditional Sailing canoe’,” writes Danish Adventurer Thor Jensen on his Facebook, Wednesday 29 March 2017.

EMTV reports, after being contacted by Thor Jensen, that the Danish adventurer and two Papua New Guinean brothers are stranded in Indonesia after an attempt to sail all the way around the Island of New Guinea in a canoe.

Thor Jensen is using youtube to document his journey around the island.

The trio are at the moment in the Indonesian town Fakfak awaiting a sponsorship fund, which they had been promised by the Sandaun Provincial Government. Jensen tells EMTV that they are running out of supplies and are unable to pay for the final leg of their journey.
